Training Departments



Stargate Command Research and Developement Science Labs
Medical Weapons and Combat Atlantis Expedition


These Departments reflect the SGC Organization, and the Chenneye Mountain structure. The recruits will learn about each one of these 6 Departments, and the respective SG-14 trainers will give them all the necessary information to efficiently complete the following mission.
Bullet Glyph The participants will be divided in teams of 4 members, or they can make up their own teams. They will also be given a personal SG Team badge with their picture and Team number.
Bullet Glyph The training sessions will last 30-45 minutes, and will be repeated twice over the 2 training days. Is recommendable that all the team members attend to at least one of each department sessions, but for as long as one member has the information, the team will be able to pull the mission with success.
Bullet Glyph The lectures will be instructive as well as entertaining. Visual aids and props will be use to help convey the information. Written material of each lecture will be provided to each participant as an assisting resource for the later mission.
Bullet Glyph The Mission is, at this time, classified. The recruits will be brief about it and the orders reveled to them at the proper time. The only sure thing is that they will be traveling to other worlds through the Stargate.


Stargate Command
SGC is the military and scientific part of the SG Program, which mission is find technology to defend Earth and make off world allies. The SGC Organization includes science experts, military support personnel, off world SG teams, special operation teams, medical teams, technical teams.

Research and Developement
The civilian researchers have their laboratories and offices in level 18. The Research and Development personnel job is to study and classify the new artifacts discover by the SG teams in their off world expeditions, and find ways to understand and communicate with the alien cultures. The majority of R & D scientists are archaeologists, anthropologists, and linguistics experts.

The Research and Developement is a small but busy department, it is run by very talented people:

Dr. Jackson has one known research assistant, Nyan. The archaeological teams tend to stay in the labs. They will go on site only after the site its been secured. Unfortunately the casualties in this department are rather high. The 2 known SG Archaeological Teams, SG-11 and SG-17 both were all killed in action.

Science Labs
Level 19 is where the scientific part of SGC can be found. The labs purpose is to develop technology through the study and experimentation of alien and Earth science. The place contains state of the art labs where the laws of physics are tested everyday.

Although Dr. Carter at the moment serves as Director at the Atlantis Expedition, she is regarded as one of SGC best scientists. Other important scientists to have in consideration are Dr. Bill Lee and Dr. Radek Zelenka.

Medical
The Medical Bay in level 21 can handle every kind of medical problem. From before and after mission check ups, to surgery, research of alien biology, therapy and rehabilitation. There is operation rooms, an Infirmary, Medical Labs, a gym, all furnished with the last innovations in medical equipment.

Weapons and Combat
The armories in level 19 and 28 store the weapons used by security personnel and SG Teams. All weapons are given by request before a mission and have to be returned afterwards. The armories also contain explosives, special weapons and alien weaponry. Although the Air Force has the authority over SGC, all branches from the military are represented.

    • Tokra: Tac’s (small balls that fire energy burst), Atanik (arm bands)

All the SG Teams have a combat trained member for security reasons. Knowing how to handle a weapon may make the difference between coming back or not. The best soldiers SGC ever had:

Atlantis Expedition
Atlantis is the Lost City of the Ancients in the Pegasus Galaxy. After a war with the Wraith, the city was submerged, and it was not found until thousands of years later by Dr. Daniel Jackson. Atlantis is filled with amazing technology. The Atlantis Expedition has explored just over half of the city. Much still remain to be discovered.

Atlantis was under the civilian command of Dr. Weir, backed up by the military authority of Lt. Col. Sheppard. After Dr. Wier was captured by the Replicators, the command was given to Col. Carter.
